Nothing happening
So far the conditions for Pac cup 2012 have been, well passive. flat seas and 10 kts of breeze make the following very easy: Using the bucket head, making meals, sleeping.
It is now Day 4 and we are still waiting for the race to begin. That should wake up Neptune.
Have been passing many floating black balls. Will let you all know what happens when we hit one in the dark at speed.

Wind last night
Wind picked up last night and we were able to clock 7.5 to 8.5 kts most of the night. Finally found a good reason for techno music… makes great night driving soundtrack,

Finally, Dolphins!
Decent 2nd day of sailing. Still overcast with some rain cells. Wind went light at night. we were literally on the great pacific lake. Chased around zephyrs and finally found a breeze. Best of the day - a pod off Dolphins swam with us for about a half an hour. With the phosforesencs (sp) they where lit up underwater and put on a light show diving with our bow.

Saw a couple of dozen whales around 5:00pm yesterday. Winds are light but doing well at keeping boat moving at least 5-6 kts through the water. The Express is not a big boat, but Mike did get lost in the tube (our stateroom) on his way to his 12:00am shift.
